Is it good for a picky Senior kitty

Hi Carol, thanks for reaching out. Our cat recipes are designed to be 100% complete and balanced for all life stages, so they are suitable for senior cats. When feeding a Freshpet recipe for the first time, we recommend a gradual transition over 7-10 days to help avoid food refusals and digestive upsets. To ease the transition, we suggest slowly introducing our recipe by mixing a small amount with your cat's current food and gradually increasing the Freshpet portion over time. We hope this helps!

could this be beneficial to a cat thats had blocked urinary tract issues before?

Hi Bob, thanks for reaching out. All Freshpet recipes are complete and balanced; however, they are designed for the average healthy pet and are not intended for specific medical conditions. We suggest seeking the advice of your veterinarian before introducing any of our recipes to a pet with a medical condition. They’ll know your cat's health and medical history best.

How much iodine is in the chicken variety

Hi Shauna, thanks for reaching out. The iodine content of our Vital grain-free chicken recipe is 1.15 ppm as fed and 3.29 ppm on a dry matter basis. Feel free to contact us at https://www.freshpet.com/contact for any further assistance.

What is the difference between the small bred and the cat recipe

Hi Mark, Freshpet foods are formulated to be complete and balanced for healthy pets and follow AAFCO nutritional guidelines. Our small dog recipes are formulated to meet the specific needs of small dogs, while our cat recipes are designed to meet the needs of cats. We wouldn't recommend feeding a dog the cat recipes or vice versa, as they might not meet your pet's nutritional needs. It will not harm your pet if fed as a treat or occasionally as a supplemental recipe. Additionally, we do always suggest consulting your vet before starting any of our recipes to ensure it is the right choice for your pet's diet. Hope this helps!

What is the iodine content on a dry matter basis? I see that this question has been asked twice already…. Why the lack of response?

Hi Riley, thank you for reaching out. The iodine content of our Vital grain-free chicken recipe for cats is 1.15 ppm as fed and 3.29 ppm on a dry matter basis. Please feel free to contact us at https://www.freshpet.com/contact for any further assistance.
