Are there bones in the roll occasionally

Hi John, thank you for reaching out. Bones are a natural part of the proteins used in our recipes and provide key nutrients such as calcium and phosphorus, which helps to maintain healthy skeletons and joints in pets. Please know the bones are finely ground into the food, making it easy to digest and are not expected to cause issues with pets' digestive systems. Please don't hesitate to reach out to us at https://www.freshpet.com/contact if you have any additional questions or need further assistance. We're here to help.

Can you tell me how much sodium is in the chunky chicken & turkey recipe with carrots & brown rice product? We're trying to find a food for our picky eater in heart failure & he likes your products. Thank you.

Hi Lee, our Freshpet Chunky Chicken and Turkey recipe sodium levels are 0.12% as fed and 0.44% dry matter. Freshpet uses minimal amounts of salt and potassium chloride (lite salt) in our recipes to help combine our fresh meats. Our salt levels are within levels recommended by veterinary nutritionists and our sodium levels are within AAFCO requirements. It is always best to check with your veterinarian who knows your pet the best before starting Freshpet. Hope this helps!

Is this good for diabetic dogs

Hi Dorothy, our foods are not specifically designed for a diabetic dog, which means there are no medicinal claims to help a diabetic diet. We always suggest you seek the advice of your veterinarian before trying Freshpet Recipes. They’ll know your dog's health and medical history best. We offer several grain free and lower carbohydrate recipes. You can find information on our recipes by checking the brand pages on our website www.freshpet.com. Hope this helps!

Can you make fresh pet with dry food

Hi Debbi, thanks for reaching out. All of our recipes are fresh, refrigerated foods that have been gently steam-cooked to preserve key nutrients. You can feel free to mix our recipes with other foods; however, when Freshpet is not the only food being served, we cannot provide an accurate feeding amount, since we aren't familiar with the nutritional values of the other foods. When mixing Freshpet with other foods, we suggest consulting your vet to determine the best amount to ensure all your pup’s needs are being met. Hope this helps!
