What is the sugar content in this?

I’m concerned that your chicken dog food contains garlic. That concerns me.

We try to make food for dogs and cats that is as close as possible to our own human food in terms of quality and palatability but ensuring that the special nutritional needs of their diets are covered. A bit of garlic provides an aroma that both people and pets recognize as appealing, so we use it as an enhancer of the flavor and the aroma. Large amounts of garlic would need to be eaten to cause illness in dogs or cats. The amount used in Freshpet recipes is at very low levels and should not be associated with problems. The garlic component that is toxic to pets is the allicin chemical. A more general term for allicin is the “smell and oil” when you crush the garlic. Open the resealable bag and pour for easy serving. Use a standard measuring cup to serve the correct amount.

Storage instructions

All Freshpet products must be kept refrigerated at all times and used within 7 days of opening. Our food can be frozen for future use, but please note that consistency may vary after thawing.

Every dog is unique.

Select your dog's weight to view their normal daily feeding amount. (The following quantities can be fed as one meal daily, or divided into two meals a day.)

5-10 lbs: serve 3/4 - 1 cup per day

11-20 lbs: serve 1 - 1 3/4 cups per day

21-40 lbs: serve 1 3/4 - 3 cups per day

41+ lbs: serve 3 cups per day. Add 1/3 cup for each additional 25 lbs
