SWEEPSTAKES OFFICIAL RULES
NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN, NOR WILL PURCHASE INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING.
1. SPONSOR
This random drawing sweepstakes (the “Sweepstakes”) is sponsored by Freshpet Inc., 1450 US-206, Bedminster, NJ 07921 (the “Sponsor”). The Sweepstakes is not sponsored by, endorsed by, administered by, or associated with Meta, Facebook, Instagram, or other social media providers or other digital platforms or various media formats used to distribute information regarding the opportunity to enter the Sweepstakes.
2. PROMOTION PERIOD
The Sweepstakes begins upon the first public announcement of the Sweepstakes and ends on May 27, 2026 at 11:59:59 p.m. EST (the “Promotion Period”). All federal, state and local laws and regulations apply. Void outside of the United States and/or wherever else prohibited or restricted by law. Entries will neither be acknowledged nor returned other than as herein described.
3. AGREEMENT TO RULES
By entering, each participant (the “Participant”) acknowledges acceptance of and compliance with these official rules (the “Official Rules”) and represents and warrants that Participant meets the eligibility requirements set forth herein. In addition, Participant agrees to accept the decisions of Sponsor as final and binding as it relates to the Sweepstakes. Winning a prize is contingent upon fulfilling all requirements set forth herein. If a selected winner does not fulfill all the requirements set forth in these Sweepstakes Official Rules, the Sponsor may select another winner at random.
4. ELIGIBILITY
Sweepstakes is open to all individuals who are legal residents of the contiguous United States who are at least eighteen (18) years of age at time of entry. Residents of Alaska, Hawaii, and Puerto Rico are not eligible. Any entrants found to be under the age of 18 shall be disqualified. Employees of the Sponsor, its related or affiliated entities, or the advertising and promotion agencies involved in the Sweepstakes, and each of their respective employees, and their immediate family members (parent, child, sibling and spouse of each, regardless of where they reside) and those living in the same households of each (whether related or not) are not eligible.
5. HOW TO ENTER
To enter: (i) comment on the post announcing the Sweepstakes; (ii) follow the @Freshpet account; and (iii) add a comment to the post announcing the Sweepstakes with your rescue dog’s name, each via the social media platform’s applicable function.
Limit one (1) entry per person. All entry requirements must be completed during the Promotion Period to be eligible to win. For purposes of this Sweepstakes, “receipt” of an entry will be based on the time recorded on the social media platform’s system. The Entry will be deemed to be submitted by the person associated with the social media account used to enter, but only if that person meets all other eligibility criteria. Any attempt by a Participant to obtain more than the stated number of entries by using multiple/different accounts, identities, or any other methods will void that Participant’s entries and that Participant may be disqualified. Use of fraudulent methods or other attempts to circumvent the Official Rules will result in the Entrant’s entry being removed from eligibility in the sole discretion of Sponsor.
6. WINNING ENTRIES; NOTIFICATION
The one (1) winning entry will be drawn at random by Sponsor on May 28, 2026. Odds of winning depend upon the total number of eligible entries received in the Promotion Period. All drawings will be conducted by Sponsor, whose decisions are final on all matters relating to the Sweepstakes.
The winner will be notified by means of the email contact information provided at the time of Sweepstakes entry within two (2) days of the drawing date.
7. PRIZES
The prize will include Freshpet swag and Freshpet food and/or treats. The mix of products and quantity will be determined by Freshpet in its discretion.
The total approximate value of the winner’s prize is ~$185.
If the winner is unable or unwilling to accept the prize, the Sponsor is not required to provide an alternative prize and has no further obligation to the winner.
IMPORTANT NOTE: In the event that for any reason the prize provider or Sponsor is unable to present the prize specified above, the award of an alternative prize will be in the Sponsor’s sole discretion. Should any other cause beyond Sponsor’s control impact the Sweepstakes or Sponsor’s ability to award the prizes as planned such as fire, earthquake, labor disputes or strikes, acts of God, pandemic, terrorist threat or activity, or any federal, state or local government law, order or regulation, Sponsor may in its sole discretion suspend the Sweepstakes to address the impairment and then resume the Sweepstakes at another time in a manner that best confirms to the spirit of these Official Rules.
8. PRIZE CONDITIONS
No transfer or substitution of any portion of the prize is allowed, except at the sole discretion of the Sponsor. The potential winner must comply with all Sweepstakes rules as published or the prize may be forfeited and an alternate winner selected. Return of prize notification as undeliverable; and/or failure to provide any other required documentation in a timely manner may result in disqualification and selection of an alternate winner. Non-winning Participants will not be notified. Winning a prize is contingent on fulfilling all the requirements set forth herein. Winner is responsible for all federal, state, and local taxes, if applicable.
9. SWEEPSTAKES TERMS & CONDITIONS
The Sweepstakes is subject to all applicable federal, state, and local laws. By participating, Participants agree to be bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of the Sponsor and waive any right to claim ambiguity in regard to the mechanics of the Sweepstakes or the interpretation of these Official Rules.
Any person attempting to defraud or in any way tamper with the mechanics or logistics of this Sweepstakes will be declared ineligible and may be prosecuted to the full extent of the law. Sponsor, Meta, Facebook, Instagram, and other social media providers or other digital platforms or various media formats used to distribute information regarding the opportunity to enter the Sweepstakes are not responsible for any incorrect or inaccurate information, whether caused by website users or by any of the equipment or programming associated with, or utilized in, this Sweepstakes, or by any technical or human error that may occur in the processing and/or transmissions in the Sweepstakes. Sponsor assumes no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorized access to, or alteration of, entries. Sponsor is not responsible for any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer online systems, servers or providers, computer equipment, software, failure of email due to technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any website or combination thereof, including injury or damage to Participants or to any other person’s computer related to, or resulting from, participating in or downloading of materials in this Sweepstakes. If, for any reason, the Sweepstakes is not capable of running as planned, including, without limitation, infection by computer virus, bugs, worms, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other causes beyond the reasonable control of the Sponsor that may corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this Sweepstakes, Sponsor reserves the right at its sole discretion to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Internet portion of the Sweepstakes, and select a winner from all entries received up to the time of termination. Any person attempting to defraud or in any way tamper with the mechanics or logistics of this Sweepstakes will be declared ineligible and may be prosecuted to the full extent of the law. This Sweepstakes is governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey, without respect to conflict of law doctrines.
Release and Limitation of Liability. By participating in the Sweepstakes, Participants agree to release, discharge, defend, indemnify and hold harmless Sponsor, the prize providers, Meta, Facebook, Instagram, and other social media providers or other digital platforms or various media formats used to distribute information regarding the opportunity to enter the Sweepstakes, and each of their respective parents and affiliates, and their officers, directors, employees, and agents (collectively, the “Released Parties”) from and against any claim or cause of action arising out of participation in the Sweepstakes or receipt or use of any prize, including, but not limited to: (1) any incorrect or inaccurate information, whether caused by Participants, printing errors, or by any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the Sweepstakes; (2) technical failures of any kind, including, but not limited to malfunctions, interruptions, or disconnections in phone lines or network hardware or software; (3) any damage to a Participant’s, or any other person’s property, computer system or mobile phone which is occasioned by participating in the Sweepstakes; (4) unauthorized human intervention in any part of the entry process or the Sweepstakes; (5) technical or human error which may occur in the administration of the Sweepstakes or the processing of entries; (6) late, lost, undeliverable, damaged or stolen mail; or (6) against any claims, damages or liability due to any injuries, damages or losses to any person (including death) or property of any kind, resulting in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, from Participant’s entrance in the Sweepstakes, including attendance and participation in the Conference, or receipt or use or misuse of any prize.
Dispute resolution. As a condition of participating in this Sweepstakes, Participants agree that any and all disputes and causes of action against Sponsor arising out of or in connection with this Sweepstakes shall be resolved individually (without resort to any form of class action). Such dispute shall be resolved by mediation and binding arbitration. Further, in any such dispute, under no circumstances will Participants be permitted to obtain awards for, and hereby waive all rights to claim punitive, incidental or consequential damages, including attorneys’ fees, and Participants further waive all rights to have damages multiplied or increased.
10. WINNERS LIST
To receive written confirmation of the winner, send an email to sweepstakes@Freshpet.com with the subject line Freshpet Giveaway Sweepstakes Winner’s List Request. Requests must be received by within six (6) months of the close of the Promotion Period.
11. PRIVACY
Personal information that is submitted by Participants as part of the Sweepstakes will be used to administer the Sweepstakes, select and announce the prize winner, fulfill the prize, and will be treated in accordance with the privacy policy accessible at: https://www.freshpet.com/privacy-policy. Your entry into the Sweepstakes constitutes acceptance of the Sponsor’s privacy policy and these Sweepstakes Rules.
12. DISCLOSURES
Endorsement and Testimonial Disclosure. The winner understands and agrees that if they choose to post or publicize their win or the Sponsor's products or services online, they have a "material connection" to the Sponsor as a prize winner. Accordingly, the winner must clearly and conspicuously disclose this connection in any such promotion, post, or content.
Specific Disclosure Language. To comply with the FTC's Endorsement Guides, the winner agrees to use a clear and conspicuous disclosure in any social media post or content related to their prize or the Sponsor's products or services. This disclosure must be easy to understand and be included in the content itself. The disclosure should be prominent and appear at the beginning of the post or review. In the case of video content, the disclosure should appear within the video itself and not just in the description.
No Misleading Impressions. The winner further agrees not to make any false, misleading, or unsubstantiated claims about the Sponsor or its products or services, online or otherwise. The winner’s posts or statements must reflect their honest opinions and experiences.
Non-Compliance. Failure to adhere to these disclosure requirements may result in forfeiture of the prize or other action deemed appropriate by the Sponsor.
