At Freshpet, our gentle cooking process makes our food more nutritious by preserving the essential amino acids dogs need. It also locks in the natural moisture and juices and preserves the flavor and aroma. That's why our food tastes so much more delicious!
All of our food is cooked in small batches at our US factory. (The factory was once a 'people-food' manufacturing plant and we spent millions to raise it to our high standards.) Our gentle, low-heat cooking exposes our products to approximately one third the amount of heat and harsh processing that dry and canned products undergo during manufacturing. This is how we maintain the integrity of the essential proteins and amino acids dogs need in their diets.
